Welcome Elyanna Smith

Elyanna is the Museum and Community Engagement Assistant with Cultural Coalition for the 2023-2024 school year. After graduating from ASU with her bachelor’s degree in museum studies, she decided to get more involved with community art events and volunteering, which led her to Cultural Coalition.

Growing up, Elyanna moved cities frequently, which contributed to her love and appreciation of the arts across various cultures. She is grateful for the experiences she was given, but as a Phoenix native, she is excited to be back in her hometown and reconnect with her culture and community through meaningful interactive art experiences. In her free-time, she enjoys experimenting with different art mediums and photographing concerts and music festivals. She is currently enhancing her skills in photoshop and adobe premier to create mixed media videos and art pieces. She looks forward to further developing her photography/videography skills and connecting with the Cultural Coalition team.

Cultural Coalition was able to bring Elyanna onto our team thanks to a grant from the City of Phoenix Office of Arts & Culture. You’ll see Elyanna at our festivals and outreaches, and helping with our Mask Alive Museum projects, please welcome her to our amazing artist community!
