El Puente Festival Returns to Tempe Center for the Arts

Featuring youth performance groups from around the Valley

Cultural Coalition is excited to announce the 10th Annual El Puente Festival will return as an in-person event at Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. After two years of live streaming this youth centric arts and culture festival, the beloved event will return to TCA for a free event that will include music and dance performances from youth groups from around the Valley.

Attendees will enjoy mariachi performances, ballet folklorico dances, and theatrics by some of the Valleys most talented young people from ages 6 to 17. Kids craft activities and opportunities to join in the performances is one of the highlights of this annual festival. El Puente, the spanish word for bridge, is a festival that brings generations together by sharing the cultural traditions of music, dance, and art with diverse audiences.

Cultural Coalition is also delighted to share that the parade of dancers, musicians, masked performers, and over-sized puppets designed by master sculptor Zarco Guerreo will once again be crossing the Tempe Pedestrian Bridge in front of the Tempe Center for the Arts. This tradition invites festival attendees of all ages to be a part of the festival by joining the parade across the bridge and back.
