Board Spotlight: Meet Itzimba Figueroa

Cultural Coalition is delighted to welcome Itzimba Figueroa to our Board of Directors. A Bilingual Civil Litigation Paralegal at Tiffany & Bosco, P.A., Itzimba describes herself as an advocate. She was elected to the Board at the March meeting, and shared how excited she was to be part of such an organization dedicated to the preservation of Latino art and culture.

When asked what drew her to serving on our Board, Itzimba shared, “I was drawn to Cultural Coalition due to the genuine devotion to bringing the community together through art. Once I visited Rancho del Arte and learned about the impact Cultural Coalition has on the community, I realized I wanted to be part of this movement. The mission of the Cultural Coalition resonated with me and fuels my passion to continue to change lives and heal traumas through positive outlets.”

Itzimba also had the chance to attend our recent Mask Alive Festival in Mesa, and had the opportunity to see first hand how Cultural Coalition images our community with local artists. With so many ways to get involved, Itzimba stated that she is most excited to be on the Board and “be a part of the team of Cultural Coalition. I’m excited to be hands-on and see all the families come together in the festivals and most importantly to see the children that are being supported at Rancho del Arte. I am excited to continue changing lives. I am excited to learn and spread the word of the amazing programs that Cultural Coalition has to offer. I am excited to work with this team to continue making positive changes and influencing others.”

We are excited to have Itzimba’s enthusiastic passion aiding us in our work with the community. Please join us in welcoming her to the Cultural Coalition family when you see her at our next festival!
