After School Art Program
Cultural Coalition provides a free After School Art Program for over 100 youth living in a low-income housing complex and its surrounding neighborhoods. We provide a free meal from St. Mary's Food Bank, homework help, and enriching artistic activities that range from visual arts, performing arts, and the art of healthy living. This program operates five days a week from 3 to 6pm during the Mesa Public School year calendar..
One on One with Teaching Artists
Our Teaching Artists work hard every day enriching the lives of the youth in our community. They facilitate our food distribution program, help with homework, and design the daily arts activities.
Homework Help
Cultural Coalition Teaching Artists and Volunteers help youth, ages 6 to 13, with their homework and continuing their educational needs. We have bilingual staff for our ESL students and have seen students grades improve after entering our program.
Art Forms
We believe that all children should be exposed to art and expression. This program offers the use of art supplies and classes including cooking, drawing, painting, music, gardening, physical education, robotics, and more. Programs focus on creativity and being well rounded in all the art forms.
