Guerrero Park Neighborhood Welcomes New Public Art Project

The Guerrero Park neighborhood, located in Mesa, Arizona will be receiving some colorful new art projects soon with the help of local artists and the Urban Land Institute of Arizona. Cultural Coalition is committed to enriching our neighborhoods with beauty and creativity through artistic endeavours. We are proud that both Carmen and Zarco Guerrero have been asked to participate in a new program put on by the Institute.

Part of ULI’s mission is to strengthen communities through supporting art and culture in neighborhoods. This is of course a perfect partnership for us at Cultural Coalition. This new mural project at Guerrero Park will enhance this neighborhood and add more color to this already vibrant area.

Cultural Coalition, Inc. will be participating in this program, as will other local artists. If you are a community member of the Guerrero Park neighborhood, you are invited to participate in this exciting program as well.

On Saturday, September 28th ULI will be hosting a Storytelling event at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club at 221 West 6th Avenue, Mesa. This event will explain more about the mural project and will also allow the public to interact with the artists. You’ll be able to share your thoughts and ideas about the types of artwork that would best suit the community. Plus, there will be music and food available at this free neighborhood event. Childcare will also be provided!

If you’re an artist or community member interested in attending this exciting event check out the Facebook event page here: Facebook Event.
