Fundraising Statement

Support the mission of Cultural Coalition to provide community engagement through unique cultural programs dedicated to the education, promotion and development of Indigenous artists in Arizona.

Funds raised through the MaskAlive! Raffle will be used to continue the work that staff and participating artists are doing in communities throughout the Valley. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, as arts and culture institutions closed their doors, and afterschool programs were cancelled, the artists and staff at Cultural Coalition Inc have continued to enrich the lives of Arizonans.

When schools closed, the Cultural Coalition afterschool arts programs transitioned to providing meals to those children and their families in partner with St. Mary’s Food Bank. As large festivals were cancelled, Cultural Coalition continued to support the local artists, dancers, musicians, storytellers, and painters scheduled to participate and transitioned to virtual events. It is important to provide a space for engagement with the diverse arts and culture community of Arizona during these times for healing, release, and feeling connected to the things that bring us joy!
