“The mask, in order to be real, has to be worn.” – Zarco Guerrero
In this next episode of #MaskAlive, “My work with Borderlands Theater”, Zarco will showcase past projects created while collaborating with Borderlands over the last few years. He will talk about the Aztec Drum, El Huéhuetl, that was used on the production of “Nogales” and the giant puppets made for the “Barrio Stories” Series.
Zarco will also showcase the progress he’s made to create new puppets for the upcoming production of “Las Reinas”. He will demonstrate and discuss the techniques in developing the stand-alone puppets, how they are worn, and how they are brought to life by the actores.
