Cultural Coalition is excited to announce National Minority Quality Forum as a Presenting Sponsor of our 14th Annual MIKIZTLI: Día de los Muertos Festival! Happening on Saturday, November 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Arizona Center in Downtown Phoenix, their support enables this annual community event to remain free and open to the public as a Phoenix favorite for all to come celebrate this beloved holiday that honors our ancestors.
Founded in 1998, National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) is a United States-based, health care research, education and advocacy organization whose mission is to reduce patient risk and advance health equity by assuring optimal care for all.
Their vision is to achieve a just and fair health system that ensures equitable access to optimal care. As the nation’s largest minority healthcare research, education, and advocacy organization, the National Minority Quality Forum is leading the charge for health equity. From data to action, they are working to reduce patient risk and ensure access to optimal care, especially for those who are most vulnerable.
The mission of NMQF is to reduce patient risk of hospitalizations, emergency room visits, disabilities, and death, while also promoting high-quality, long lives, particularly for the most vulnerable. They do this by using data and research to support and mobilize healthcare organizations, leaders, policymakers, and patients in advocating for optimal care for every individual, especially those in minoritized populations.
“The National Minority Quality Forum is honored to join the MIKIZTLI Festival in celebrating culture, community, and resilience. As we honor tradition and heritage, we also recognize the importance of health equity. That’s why NMQF will be on-site providing much-needed general health screenings, helping to ensure every family has access to the tools and resources they need to thrive.” — National Minority Quality Forum
Cultural Coalition is honored to have NMQF at MIKIZTLI this year, connecting our attendees to these much needed services and resources. Be sure to stop by their booth at the festival to say THANK YOU for supporting the cultural arts, a part of keeping our communities healthy!
