Free Cultural Festival of Masks
This Sunday, Cultural Coalition presents the 4th Annual Mask Alive Festival with an incredible line-up of masked performances at Pioneer Park in Mesa. This free family friendly event will have arts and craft activities from organizations like the i.d.e.a. Museum, food trucks with tacos, desserts, and vegan options, artist vendors, and a raffle to win a one-of-a-kind hand carved and painted mask by artist Zarco Guerrero.
Schedule of Performances with opening remarks by City of Mesa Mayor John Giles:

2:10 p.m. – Desert Sounds Music
2:40 p.m. – Sankofa African Drums
3:10 p.m. – Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli
3:40 p.m. – Ken Koshio & Taiko Drumming
4:10 p.m. – Astarte Belly Dancing
4:30 p.m. – Mask Raffle Winner Announcement
4:40 p.m. – Axé Capoeira Brazilian Dance
4:55 p.m. – Dance of the Cucuis, Mask & Puppet Parade
Everyone is encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs to enjoy a family day full of culture in the park!
