Dia de los Muertos PHX Festival 2015
The 4th Annual Dia de Los Muertos PHX festival has been our most successful festival yet. Characterized by its masked-performers and larger-than-life processional puppets, the Festival brings culture to life through innovative performances and arts activities in the public arena. After over 35 years of providing this ancient Mexican Holiday, we are amazed at the excitement and gratitude expressed by the thousands of people who see the immense value of keeping this tradition alive in our communities.
The festival encompasses the love for the arts by bringing over 260 local performance and visual artists to serve an audience of 8,000+ people. We value our impact on the local economy and our ability to empower local artists to help sustain Phoenix’s cultural assets. The multicultural showcase engulfs group performances of Mexican-American, Japanese-American, African-American and Native-American descent. We have the largest gathering of masked performers in the Southwest along with interactive children’s activities dedicated to educating our youth of the cultural importance of Dia de Los Muertos.
Our goal is to impact our communities with this timeless event for years to come. Through donations, this tradition will live on and become a Phoenix asset. We are asking for individual donations to help keep this event going for our future generations to enjoy and cultivate.
